Fellow Gardeners - Summer Meetings

After discussing the Gardening Club meetings with a number of sisters it has been decided that we will suspend meetings during the busy summer months and start them up again on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.

Our first meeting in September will most likely be an evening meeting that we can bring friends and spouses to (as we have had some requests for them to join us)  for a "Q & A  Session" with Ed Bourassa.  We will focus on how to prepare your yard, garden, flowers, shrubs, etc for fall and winter.

Ed Bourassa shared that in Sunset Magazine there is a two page article each month on "what to do this month" in the pacific northwest regarding your garden.  There are some very helpful tips in there.  I have a great number of older issues and so will look them up and post some helpful information according to that month.  Hopefully, if any of you or Ed has the current issues, you will also share the information with us ...and of course we will give the credit to Sunset Magazine as we should.

We wish you all green thumbs this summer and also hope you have time to sit back and enjoy your hard labors in your wonderful gardens.

Remember, share your photos of your plants, yards, gardens and produce you have grown.  We would love to see them.

Receiving my yard of premium topsoil...I thin wheelbarrowed it to the side yard and started planting my perennials and a few annuals to fill in the space until they grow.  Enjoying the work this year, hope to sit back and relax and enjoy this years efforts, next year!

I must find a BEFORE and AFTER photo of my little side yard. But that project has now extended itself.  I will find a few pics and share what I am doing next!
How about you? what have you done in your Garden/Yard this year?
How have you enjoyed your Garden/Yard this Year?
Share your photos and stories with us!
